Station 49 is a family entertainment center in Birch Bay, WA that has been open since 1955. We offer go kart racing, championship 18-hole mini golf, a miniature train ride through 10 acres of forest, an indoor arcade, and the Saloon & Smokehouse with BBQ, a full bar, and live entertainment.

There is no park admission fee. You pay only for the attractions you want to use. Single go karts are $13, double go karts are $16, mini golf is $16 ($12 for kids under 54"), and the train ride is $10. We also offer point packages that save up to 20%, and unlimited fun passes starting at $45 for 3 hours.

Yes. Station 49 is designed for all ages. Kids can ride go karts (passengers as young as 3 in double karts), play mini golf, ride the miniature train, and play in the arcade. The train ride through the forest features dozens of hand-carved wooden sculptures that kids love spotting along the route.

We're open seasonally, and our 2026 season has now wrapped up — see you in 2027! We guarantee being open for Memorial Day weekend, which kicks off our season of events, and the fun park may open earlier in the spring if the weather permits. During the season we're open weekends — Saturdays 11am–7pm and Sundays 11am–6pm — and daily during peak summer. The miniature train departs every hour, and we may delay opening or close during heavy rain, so call (360) 371-7700 to confirm on questionable weather days.

About 10 minutes. We're located just south of the Peace Arch and Pacific Highway border crossings. From Vancouver, BC, the total drive is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on border wait times.

No. Due to Washington State liquor laws and our liquor license, outside food and beverages are not permitted in the park. We offer free ice water at all times, and the Smokehouse has a full menu with BBQ, snacks, soft drinks, and a full bar. The one exception is birthday cakes — we allow guests to bring their own cake for birthday party celebrations.

No. Points never expire and can be shared with anyone in your group. Buy a point package once and use it all season — or even across multiple seasons.

Yes. We've worked to make our 10-acre facility as accessible as possible, though please be aware that the park was built between 1955 and the early 1990s. Some areas have gravel walkways and the mini golf course includes stairs. We continue to improve accessibility throughout the property.

Yes. We have plenty of free on-site parking. During special events, overflow parking is available next door courtesy of the American Legion.

Yes. Dogs are welcome in the park but are not permitted on the go karts, mini golf course, or train ride. Dogs must be well-behaved and on a leash, and owners are expected to clean up after their pets. Dogs are permitted provided they are non-aggressive, people-friendly, and kept under control at all times. By bringing a dog onto the premises, the owner agrees to accept full responsibility and liability for any injury, damage, or incident involving their pet.

If it begins raining while we're open, we stay open for guests already in the park. However, we may delay opening or close early if it is actively raining and the park is empty. We recommend calling (360) 371-7700 on questionable weather days before making the drive.

No. No reservations are needed — just show up. All attractions are first come, first served.

Shoes and shirts are required throughout the park. Closed-toe shoes are not required for any attraction. Come comfortable and ready to have fun.

It depends on what you're looking to do. Some guests spend 30 minutes enjoying a single attraction, while others make a full day of it with go karts, mini golf, the train ride, arcade, food and drinks at the Smokehouse, and live entertainment in the afternoon.

Yes. There is an ATM available on-site. We also accept credit cards and cash at all points of sale.

Drivers must be at least 54 inches tall. There is no age requirement — if you meet the height requirement, you can drive. Younger or shorter riders can still enjoy the go karts as a passenger in a double kart with an adult driver.

In accordance with national amusement ride safety standards and our go kart manufacturer's guidelines, helmets are not required on our go karts. Our karts operate at safe, controlled speeds on a supervised track.

Our go karts reach speeds of approximately 20 mph.

One person in a double kart must always be 18 or older. An adult (18+) can drive with a younger passenger (must be at least 3 years old). If a driver under 18 meets the 54-inch height requirement, they can drive but must have a passenger who is 18 or older to accompany them.

No. There is no weight limit for our go karts.

It is not recommended. The go karts involve bumps and sudden stops that could be uncomfortable or unsafe during pregnancy.

Each go kart session runs on a 5-minute timer that starts after the last kart leaves the pits. You get the full 5 minutes of track time every session.

A typical round takes about 45–60 minutes. Speed players can finish in around 30 minutes, while serious players taking their time may take up to 2 hours.

All golfers 3 years and older need a ticket. Children under 3 play free — we're happy to provide a miniature putter and ball so the little ones can join in on the fun.

Drinks are welcome on the course, but no food please. You can grab refreshments at "The Turn" — our halfway stop at the Saloon — so you can top off your drink mid-round without missing a hole.

Our championship 18-hole, par 72 course is a real challenge — not your typical clown-and-windmill mini golf. The course features elevation changes, ponds, underground tubes, and creative obstacles across beautifully landscaped greens with manicured trees. It's designed to be fun for beginners but challenging enough to keep experienced players coming back.

The train ride is approximately 20 minutes on 1.5 miles of track through 10 acres of Pacific Northwest forest. Along the route you'll pass through a 60-foot tunnel, over bridges, and past dozens of hand-carved wooden sculptures by a local artist — animals, themed villages, a pirate ship, a castle, and more.

No. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult on the train. The ride is approximately 20 minutes and travels through the entire 10-acre property — through the forest, past the mini golf course, and around the parking lot. This policy is in place for the safety of both children and our staff.

Strollers do not fit on the train, but you can leave them at the train station during the ride. The train departs and returns to the same location.

Approximately 20 passengers per trip, though it can be more depending on the mix of adults and kids. There is no weight limit — if you fit, you ride.

Children under 3 ride free. All riders 3 years and older need a ticket. Riders under 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Yes. The Smokehouse serves BBQ including smash burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, cowboy hot dogs, chicken tenders, poutine fries, and more. We have a full bar with draft beer, wine, liquor, specialty cocktails, and slushies. Happy hour is Monday–Saturday 11am–5pm and Sunday 11am–3pm.

No. Bringing outside alcohol is strictly prohibited under Washington State liquor laws. We have a full bar in the Saloon with draft beer, wine, liquor, cocktails, and slushies.

Alcohol is permitted in the Saloon & Smokehouse area and on the mini golf course only. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the go karts, the train ride, or in the upper picnic area near the ticket booth.

Yes. Gluten-free options include our pulled pork sundae, french fries, and caesar salad. We also offer gluten-free burger buns, or any burger can be served on a bed of lettuce.

Yes. Vegetarian options include our caesar salad, french fries, poutine fries, coleslaw, and we offer a vegetarian burger patty that can be substituted on any burger.

Yes. We carry Coke products, slushies, iced tea, juice, water, and sparkling water.

Yes. All kids meals are $10 and include a choice of side. Options are chicken tenders, cheeseburger, hot dog, or corn dog.

Absolutely. There is no park admission fee — you're welcome to come just for the Smokehouse, drinks, and live entertainment without riding any attractions

Yes. We offer 3-hour unlimited fun passes for parties — $45 per person under 54" and $55 per person over 54". Includes unlimited go karts, mini golf, and train rides. Or attraction can be purchased à la carte through our points system. Bring your own cake, and the Smokehouse is available for food and drinks. Fill out the form on our Parties & Groups page to book.

Yes. We can accommodate corporate events of any size on our 10-acre property. Rent the entire park or select specific attractions. We have over 25,000 square feet of outdoor event space with a stage, dancefloor, BBQ catering, and full bar. Contact us through our Corporate Events page.

Yes. The Saloon has a stage and dancefloor with free live bands, comedy shows, and line dance lessons every weekend during the season. Check our events page for the current schedule.

Yes. Any part of the park can be booked for a private event. Fill out our Party & Group reservation form and we'll contact you with details and pricing.

Yes. All guests 1 year and older require a ticket to any ticketed event. Seating is limited during special shows and every guest needs a ticket to guarantee their spot.

No — there's no re-entry to ticketed shows. Once you're scanned in you won't be able to return to your car, so please bring in anything you'll want for the show, like a coat or a chair.

Yes. Station 49 is a family-friendly park and kids are welcome at all times, including during events. Some events, such as comedy shows, may contain adult humor — it's up to parents to decide what's appropriate for their children. We do ask that parents supervise their kids and that children are well-behaved, especially during quieter events like comedy performances.

Yes. We offer line dance lessons weekly on Thursday evenings during the summer and periodically on select Saturday nights. All experience levels are welcome. Check our events page for the current schedule.

Birch Bay Waterslides is the seasonal waterslide park in the area — check their website for 2026 hours. For other seasonal family fun in Birch Bay, Station 49 offers go karts, championship mini golf, a miniature train ride, an arcade, BBQ, and a full bar. We're located right on Birch Bay Lynden Road, just before the waterslides. We're open for the season from Memorial Day weekend through October — the fun park may open a little earlier in the spring if the weather cooperates.

The Saloon & Smokehouse at Station 49 has live music, comedy shows, and line dance lessons every weekend during the season. Birch Bay also has several waterfront restaurants and a craft brewery for evening dining. During the season, Station 49 is open until 7pm on Saturdays and 6pm on Sundays.

May through October is peak season — most attractions, including Station 49, are open and the weather is warm. July and August are the busiest months. May, June, and September offer great weather with smaller crowds. Birch Bay's beaches, restaurants, and trails are accessible year-round.
